Our clients wanted a lighter and brighter look in the kitchen. A previous finish was applied to the existing cabinets, but not properly, so we replaced the existing doors to duplicate the bead board panel doors the client has in the dining room, and sanded off the finish on the boxes to start fresh.
We worked with C&F Custom Cabinets in Hope Mills to create beautiful bead board doors to replace the existing doors.
A previous leak had compromised the bottom of the cabinet. We replaced the 1/2" particle board bottom with 3/4" finished plywood.
Skinning the end panels can give the cabinets a custom look because builder-grade cabinets have a lip on the faceframe. In this case we did it because we couldn't refinish the cold-press melamine sides of the cabinets that had been stained.
